The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a home video game console developed by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was first released in Japan in November 2006, and in North America and Europe in November 2007. The PS3 is the successor to the PlayStation 2, and was succeeded by the PlayStation 4 in 2013.
